man who lost most of his hearing in the Second World War. He has spent decades traveling 25 kilometers from his small village to the city of Sofia, Bulgaria to beg for money. But Dobri Dobrev does not beg for himself. He manages to live off an 80 euros(roughly 100 us dollars) a month pension. He makes his own clothes, finds his own food, and walks an extra two miles a day to get fresh water. All the money he has collected over the years, which is an estimated 40,000 euros, he has donated to orphanages that cannot make their payments. He doesn’t keep one cent of the money he gets. Everything is for the orphanages.  This year Dobri will be 100 years old. As you would guess he is cherished by everyone. They call him the saint of Bailovo, which is his birthplace. Many people call him “Dyado Dobri” which means GrandpaDobri.  To these people he represents the good that can be done in the most selfless way possible.
