Christmas is a very happy time for my family. For the New Year's we go to a friends house,  and then we get red envelopes with money or chocolate inside. When there is one more minute left, we do a count down and most of the kids go crazy! When we are waiting, we have  potluck so we eat dinner there. I celebrate Christmas. We decorate our Christmas tree and the house with lights. We hang our stockings over the fireplace for gifts. We usually have a party before Christmas. We have Santa deposit our gifts in the stockings or under the tree but this year hopefully they don't go under the tree where our dog can get them. Christmas is a day of joy so that is the way I feel when I wake up on Christmas morning. We always have a special Christmas dinner. On new years we usually go to L.A. to my friends house and have a giant party there and we go crazy! This year we are going to celebrate new years at my house. I love to ring in the new year. My friend and I usually stay at his house for 5-6 hours playing video games then we go downstairs to celebrate.
