- How Celebrity Victims Cope with Cyberbullying;

Living a life that is constantly under public eye, where your every movement, action and word is being scrutinized by the public can be daunting even for the most self-assured celebrity. Some celebrities victims of cyberbullying, however, have found ways to deal with cyberbullies it.
- Be careful who you befriend on social media. People may not be who they appear to be on these platforms. Do not post pictures and information that other people can use against you. Find safe sites to post your information.
Here in Shadee.Care we make sure that you are safe as we strive to ensure that our community has a positive experience and get all the good vibes they need for each day.
- Don’t respond to what the trolls say. Often, nasty comments are made to get a response from you and ignoring the bully will defeat their plans to get you down. Responding is also pointless if the bully hinds behind a false persona.
- Keep a record of the derogatory remarks so that you have evidence of what was said in case you need to raise the case to the authorities. Take a snapshot of the post with the name of the sender, date and social media platform visible.
- Change your social networking settings and block out the bully. Delete all information that was posted by the bully so that it does not create copycat behavior against you.
- Get help from forum moderators and report the abuse to the different Social Media site providers.
- Tell a more mature family member, friend or trusted adult and ask them to stand up for you.
- Upstanding Cyberbullying;
Often, we wonder why in a busy public space like social media, where everyone is looking at everyone else’s pages and comments but nobody says anything when a vicious comment is posted. Bystanders do not take the initiative to help the victim for many reasons.
- Unintentional bullying can happen when people crack a bad joke not knowing that the recipient is sensitive to the statement. Some make remarks in a fly without detailing what they really mean.
- While some express comments that are really a reflection of their own fears and anxious thoughts. If you have unintentionally said something that hurt someone, Apologise! Forgive yourself! And Be more mindful next time.
- “I can deal with it. I think maybe I’ve grown thicker skin and I just realised it’s OK, they might be going through something, they might be really upset or hurting. I choose to love. I don’t like hating on people. It’s exhausting and horrible. So, I’ve dealt with that by saying, ‘I’m turning it around. Come on my Instagram page. If you really do want to hate on me. I am just trying to spread love and positivity.” - Millie Bobby Brown

-n Millie Bobby Brown has been auditioning for roles since she was in single digits and in the spotlight almost as long. Brown is now of age and able to set boundaries around her fame, but it’s been a hard lesson to get there. In a new interview with Allure, Brown talked about how cyberbullying and the exposure of her personal relationships sent her into retreat for a year to heal.
- The actress has been facing constant sexualization, harassment, and trolling online and has deleted both her Twitter and TikTok accounts. She has an assistant who manages her Instagram and Facebook pages and when she does want to communicate directly with fans, she tends to do so through more formal blog posts so “nobody can comment.”
- “It’s really hard to be hated on when you don’t know who you are yet,” she said. “So it’s like, ‘What do they hate about me? ’Cause I don’t know who I am.’ It’s almost like, ‘Okay, I’m going to try being this today.’ [And then they say], ‘Oh, no, I hate that.’ ‘Okay. Forget that. I’m going to try being this today.’ ‘Oh, my God! I hate when you do that.’ Then you just start shutting down because you’re like, ‘Who am I meant to be? Who do they need me to be for them?’ Then I started to grow more, and my family and friends really helped. It helped to be able to understand that I don’t need to be anything they said that I need to be. I just have to develop within myself. That’s what I did...That’s what I’m doing.” - Millie Bobby Brown
- Things were at their worst for Brown in 2020, when she began a relationship with TikTok star Hunter Ecimovic. In the summer of 2021, he exposed more about their relationship in a livestream, saying that he had “groomed” Brown and then lived at her house for eight months. She had split with him in January of that year, but having her privacy further violated was incredibly difficult.
- She has since begun dating Jake Bongiovi, son of the famous musician Jon Bon Jovi. It took time for her to get to a better place.
- rown added, “Ultimately, all I wanted to do within my career is help young girls and young people out there know that I, too, go through things. I’m not this perfect person that is selling skin-care products and [who is] in Stranger Things. I absolutely have made wrong decisions.”

- All friends joke around with each other, but sometimes it’s hard to tell if someone is just having fun or trying to hurt you, especially online. Sometimes they’ll laugh it off with a “just kidding,” or “don’t take it so seriously.”
- But if you feel hurt or think others are laughing at you instead of with you, then the joke has gone too far. If it continues even after you’ve asked the person to stop and you are still feeling upset about it, then this could be bullying.
- When the bullying takes place online, it can result in unwanted attention from a wide range of people including strangers. Wherever it may happen, if you are not happy about it, you should not have to stand for it.
- When bullying happens online it can feel as if you’re being attacked everywhere, even inside your own home. It can seem like there’s no escape. The effects can last a long time and affect a person in many ways:

Mentally – feeling upset, embarrassed, stupid, even afraid or angry

Emotionally – feeling ashamed or losing interest in the things you love

Physically – tired (loss of sleep), or experiencing symptoms like stomach aches and headaches

- Skipping school is another common effect of cyberbullying and can affect the mental health of young people who turn to substances like alcohol and drugs or violent behaviour to deal with their psychological and physical pain. Talking to a friend, family member or school counsellor you trust can be a first step to getting help.
- Talking to parents isn’t easy for everyone. But there are things you can do to help the conversation. Choose a time to talk when you know you have their full attention. Explain how serious the problem is for you. Remember, they might not be as familiar with technology as you are, so you might need to help them to understand what’s happening.
- It is important to listen to your friend. Why don’t they want to report being cyberbullied? How are they feeling? Let them know that they don’t have to formally report anything, but it’s crucial to talk to someone who might be able to help.
