My husband and I like outdoor activities and traveling. Moving to Canada is a great chance for us to explore. When we have free time, we will find some new place to visit. We hiked all trails (level for easy, moderate and some difficult) in metro Vancouver. 
For living Vancouver these years, I done some tasks that in my retiring to-do list, for example, pottery, painting, knitting, baking, photography, etc. My current goal is preparing my resume for new job searching. I hope I can go back my career life and get involve the society.

I'm Mika. I came from Japan! I've worked at a Japanese company as a supervisor server in Vancouver for 4 years. 
Now I'm trying to focus on my English and my next career. 

I used to travel for my relaxation or to release my stress, but since we've got covid, my hobby changed to cooking! These days I like to go walking and running for my health. Hope I can visit and travel to the countries where you guys came from soon though.

In Vancouver, we can find a lot of nature easily, friendly people, and not be too busy and crowded. That's why I like here.

 I am Yanling.  I am from China.  Currently I am living in Vancouver and I have been in Vancouver for 5 years.  My hobbies are doing yoga, practicing Muei Thai and other challenging activities.
 
I have set up a non-profit organization for seriously ill kids in BC children hospital since 2019.  

 In order to help more kids who are from different countries, I will study English hard.  I hope that by the end of 2022, I will have registered our nonprofit as a charity.  By 2023, I am glad I will have been servicing for seriously ill kids for 4years.

My name is Maha. I have been in Canada for five years. I live with my family now. I have two sisters and two brothers.
 
I was born and grew up in Douma in Syria. In my childhood, I played with other kids in the neighbourhood. I studied till grade six. Then, I couldn’t continue my studying because of my situation. Afterwards, when I was 19 years old, I left Syria to Jordan because of the war. After I had lived in Jordan for 3 years, I moved to Canada. I started learning English from Level 1 at VCC. I like drawing and going to the beaches. I like kayaking as well. Unfortunately, I am not able to work due to my health condition. Even though, I wish I could be an interpreter in future. I’ll try my best to have a good life independently.
