Skype.com is a talk, chat, and collaborative application that millions use to communicate! Waking Up Inc. would benefit in using Skype.com because they could use any of the 2 main tools they have available. They could group chat or use the group video chat application to meet. Either resource would be helpful because all members could participate, have a say in the meetings topic, and contribute similar to a face-to-face meeting.

Live Journal is more of a blog type resource. The company could use this tool because many people outside of Waking Up Inc. share their life stories, give advice and exchange ideas using this website. This resource mirrors the foundation of Waking Up Inc. Not only can the employees meet here, but they can also meet with other people that could use their help. The only nonconstructive part of LiveJournal.com is anyone can post about any topic, at anytime. This could lead to the meeting going off tangent and leading the groups discussion off the topic of the meeting.

MeetUp.com is a resource similar to Skype. Starting a MeetUp, it asks necessary questions to help assist in making the topic and purpose relevant to the group. It asks, where is the groups home location, what the topic of the group is, and has the facilitator briefly describe the members. This is another viable tool that the company could use because they can personalize it to the groups needs, climate, and task. Unlike LiveJournal, this resource is more personalized to the group and can help the group focus on the task at hand.
