Dorothy Height inspired me because she spent her whole life fighting for equality for women and African Americans. She had to fight to get where she was and she was the only women at the highest level of the civil rights movement. This fact shows you that you can do anything with your life no matter what and that it doesn't matter what other people think or say.
This is incredible and she is an inspiration to me. She didn't stop fighting for what she believed until the day she died. This makes me hope that I can one day be so passionate about something and dedicate myself to it. She is now one of my role models because of all the work she has done for our community.

Dorothy Height was a civil rights activist who fought for women and African American rights. She was the only women at the highest level of the Civil Rights Movement. She became a civil rights activist at the age of 25. during 1930 she was an activist against lynching and reforms to the criminal justice system.
The worlds views in the 30's and 40's were that based on your skin color you were separated basically and that women were for cooking and cleaning but Dorothy Height fought against the stereo types. She wanted equality for women and African Americans. She fought for that until the day she died.
I believe that Dorothy was right in this situation everyone deserves to be equal no matter the color of you skin or you gender. She was apart of the civil rights movement next to Martin Luther King Jr. who was also a great leader in the civil rights movement as well. They fought along side each other for civil rights and now more people have rights women and men are more equal and anyone can go to any school.
