This happened at least once a week when Mary Jean passed the old gas leak.

She coughed her way to the loft, 

And laughed her way past.

Mary Jean once more fell down the stairs, but this was the last time she would ever be aware.

I noticed a small bird.

Chirping with all its might,

Loud and melodious at the same time.

The bird was brown with a white tummy. 

A robin. I thought.

I watched as it flew away,  

And I exhaled knowing that the day was tranquil.

I felt at home, and safe.

I erase and smudge, all with my one pencil.

It is great to see all you can do, my one pencil.

But remember, my one pencil.

You are still only one pencil,

For I fear the day that you break, my one pencil,

I will fall over because of a heartache, my one pencil.

I now happily draw with you, needless of no stencil, cos I like to only use

My one pencil.

Stars inside your eyes
