         <description><![CDATA[<p>The World Health Organization, UNICEF, UNESCO,  today launched the first Global Situation on Preventing Violence against Children 2020. The report tracks progress in preventing and responding to violence against children in 155 countries.While 88 per cent of countries have key laws in place to protect children from violence, only 47 per cent say these laws are effectively enforced. The report also contains the world's first assessment of homicides of children under the age of 18, finding that approximately 40,000 children were victims of homicide in 2017.</p>]]></description>
