1. Using online tools for writing is mostly positive. Padlet is my favorite tool for writing. I think, students wonder web2 tools so much. And using Padlet is more effective them. Students can share their opinions also they can comment their friends. Thanks for that, they can be motivated and willing to write. Also, actionbound is useful in the classroom, especially the students who don’t like writing can like actionbound because it is like a game. But if we want to use tools, our schools and students should have technological devices. In this aspect, it may be negative. But I think using tools mostly effective and positive.

2. The most important ideas are cut-ups and making posters. If I were a student, I would like to use cut-ups. I think it is enjoyable and fun. Also making posters is great activity for writing because at the beginning of the activity we do research and write what we learnt. Product/process/ snack writing approaches are important. Think about our classrooms, we mostly use snack writing. It is effective way for students who are at the A1 level. Students feel free and so they want to write and show their opinions. That why it is most effective way for writing.

3. In my opinion my colleagues would be most interested in Padlet. Because it is a great web2 tool to writing something. Using Padlet is both easy and effective way for writing. Students can be motivated if they use it. For all those things, teachers absulately are willing to learn Padlet. I believe my colleagues would like to use Padlet in their classes. In addition that, I guess they can be interested in making posters. It is useful for the classrooms and enjoyable. One more addition is actionbound is really newest tool and quite enjoyable.

1. Course book listening activities are ready materials in the classrooms but they are limited and they are not useful for all students. We must make differentiation. Our students are completely different; some of them are weaker, some of them are stronger. If we use only coursebook or something like that, we can block the students’ learning. We can adopt the course books. Before the lessons, we should prepare the lesson plan.

2. As I said before, course books are limited. We can authentic materials to lead in part or follow-up activity part from some website such as ESLvideo.com. Thanks to using authentic materials, our students will be more motivated in listening activities. And they all want to attend. Also when we use the authentic materials for listening, we can make differentiation which is really important in our classrooms. We can also use different activities by using an authentic materials.

3. Active listening skills are important in the classroom. It is mostly real life, updated activities. And so students are more enthusiastic and motivated to attend listening activities. I absolutely use instruction based listening activity which is like Mr. Shephard’s activity. For my students’ level, I should use act-out.
How can I use it in my classrooms;
Say the students what they must do, and show it also. After the activity, getting a product is also very motivations for students. Using act out helps that weaker students can understand and join the activity. Therefore, I notice the differentiation.

1. I think that some of the my colleagues in the PLC section who are older than me, wouldn't be motivational or eager to attend the sections. Of course, I will encourage them. As a group in the class, we talked this situation, it is really big problem in Turkey.
In the PLC section that I'm doing, making differentiation would be difficult. Preparing diffirentiation activity isn't simple. Also there are many activities in the coursebooks and they are not differentiational. Making it would effect them negatively.

2. When I'm doing a listening section session, finding authentic materials according to the students' level would be a problem. Students' levels are the most important thing and finding a suitable authentic is really hard. It is the major challenging situation and they face related both listening and speaking.

3. I think that the most useful idea is Flipgrid. I can use this digital tools both listening and speaking activity. Students really love taking videos and sharing them on social media. So, they are eager to join the activity when we are teaching. Also, students can watch their friends videos. Thus, they may help each other and may correct their mistakes.

1.

-Courageous

-Predictable

-Challenging

These are my adjectives about flipped classroom. Why I choose these adjectives; When I’m using flipping learning in the class, I will meet some struggles such as, students are not ready. It could be challenging for me.
If students do their reading and research tasks, the lessons will be more predictable for me. Because the students are ready to attend the activities, they may know vocabularies. It is an opportunity for all teachers and students. And the activity will be predictable.
The third adjective is courageous. I choose the adjective because both I and my students will be courageous while using flipping learning method. I’m more courageous when I know what it comes. And I believe that students will be more courageous because they see the clues about lesson, they will wonder what will happen. They aren’t afraid of doing mistakes.

2. Yes, I do have many concerns about the flipped classroom. Firstly, the most important problem is thatcsome students are not ready, they may not do research or the reading. That way, they may step behind. They aren’t keeping up with their peers. At the end, the situation would be tiring for me.
In addition that, I (as a teacher) must be ready for all situations because some students do their tasks outside of classroom and some of them are not ready. And what can I do? I have to prepare a lesson plan for all students, so it can be little challenging for me. Anyway, I definitely will be ready to teach reading skill.

3. I think they will like it. If the students who they are ready to come to the classroom, teachers can do the reading activities more easily. The lessons will more active because students are ready to learn. Students are also responsible for their learning. So, they will be autonomous learners. They can follow up the activities. Thus, learning is going on.
Time is really important idea in the classrooms so that teachers don’t want to waste the time. Class time can be used more effectively if the students come to classroom after they watched the videos or do the reading/ research. To sum up, I’m sure that teachers/my colleagues will like this idea.

1. In my area, PPP Model is used mostly. They think that PPP model is easy and useful. Present, the grammar rules; practice, about it; and produce it. It’s functional although it’s traditional. It’s traditional method that teacher teach everything. Also, some of teachers use ‘S+V+O’ (form of sentences) techniques which is a traditional method in Turkey. It’s the most functionless method for teaching grammar.

2. I think the most useful thing is LOOM Presentation. It’s very useful for students. Teachers send a video to students about the topic before the lesson, so students will be ready to come to class. To me, it is functional for teaching grammar.
Also, using type of communicative activities are so important for teaching grammar. Thanks to using different types of communicative activities, students are more active in the classroom. They can improve their all skills by using these activities.

3. To be honest, some of teachers will complain about those ideas. They will share their classrooms, their students/levels and their experiences. They will say that they can’t use in the classrooms. Also they will say that the activities are challenging and wasting of time.
But I think that most of teachers will like these ideas. Teachers need new techniques to teach grammar. Guided discovery is the newest method and many teachers don’t know it. I’m sure teachers will like this idea; because it’s an enjoyable for students.
In addition, they will like flipped grammar. If students are ready before the lesson, learning environment will be more effective and functional.

4. I will make it by using communicative activities such as discussion, role-play. These activities are very useful for both teaching grammar and improving speaking skill. After teaching grammar, students can discuss the topic with using grammar tools. For example; firstly teachers teach ‘should’ by using controlled and free activities, and then, teachers prepare a role cards about the topic and students act it out in the classroom. Thanks to that, students learn both the topic and how to use in real life. This, learning will be more permanent.

Actually I agree with all these three comments;

1. Translation way is used the most but It has many disadvantages. Firstly if students always use the translation way, they can’t think in English, so that after they can’t speak English and they want to translate sentences while they’re speaking. Actually they may block themselves. And, one word has many meaning. If student translate a vocabulary, they can learn only one meaning of that. They may not be aware of the form, collocation, register etc. It’s a very big problem for learning vocabulary.

2. I think students must keep vocabulary notebooks; because students need it especially in state schools. It encourage students. How to keep it; teachers should be guide the students for that. Students should write vocabulary and then they should add the informations about it like collacations, forms, spelling, registers, word family... They are really important, students should know about a word to become efficient in using it. All things considered, if students keep a vocabulary notebook, they should add all the information about the new words. It may be hard and challenging but it is a good for them.

3. Certainly, I agree with that comment. Nobody can’t learn all vocabularies in one time. Learning is a continuous step. People learn step by step. They need a time. That’s why, Getting to know words is getting to know a friend. Learning is like that. you learn more about them bit by bit.

1. The PLC facilitators are not a teacher. They can’t teach. They can only share their ideas, experiences and knowledge. PLC is a collaborative learning. So there is no teacher. PLC facilitators are just guider.

2. To be honest, When I saw the roles of a facilitator, I felt little bit anxious. Because there are a lot of roles, and I thought that it would be hard. But now, I feel more confident about it; because I know my actual role. I can answer some questions in my mind. That so, I’m motivated and enthusiastic.

3. Firstly, I will create a WhatsApp group. I’ll inform them about the PLC and our works. After the meeting, I’ll give them feedbacks about the sections. Also the most important thing is that I will establish an atmosphere of trust within group.

4. I have no question about the role of PLCs and facilitators. But, I wonder whether it will be effective for English teaching. Actually, I know that it will. Still, it’s a curiosity for me.
