The book describes Jane Eyre's growth and development to adulthood, her pain and loneliness, and her love for Edward Rochester, the byronic owner of Thornfield Hall, who hides a deep dark secret. 

A wonderful, heartfelt story about a young woman well beyond her time. The book uses complex vocabulary, language, metaphors, and imagery. Told from the perspective Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old boy with Asperger's, about the events that unfold after he determines to find the person responsible for killing his neighbor's dog. It contains classic elements of a coming-of-age story while also encouraging readers to reflect on some pretty serious topics. There's also a good bit of humor mixed in, though, too!
