         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Western canon is the body of books, music, and art that scholars generally accept as the most important and influential in shaping Western culture. On September 19, I went and saw the Unt Symphonic Band play at the Murchison Performing Arts Center. They played a selection of 6 pieces. Before attending the concert I had never heard of any of the songs or the of people who composed them. I I really liked all the songs that were played but especially “Dies Natalis” by Howard Hanson.<br><br></div>]]></description>
