Oh my gosh! The main character and my favorite character of the Dragon Ball Series, Goku, finds out that he is a part of a race of evil space pirates/aliens and sparks a chain reaction that affects the rest of the series! I also read the manga a lot too because I like to compare it with the show and see what is different, new, & similar.

Fever, 1793 By: Laurie Anderson

Fever, 1793 by: Laurie Halse Anderson is a historical fiction novel about the life of a teenage girl nicknamed “Mattie” during the time of the yellow fever epidemic and her struggling to survive in a Philadelphia town. With Mattie having all of these up and down moments in her life, how will she survive in this harsh town?

I think that this was an amazing story not only was this story a very well researched and planned one, but readers get to see what was happening in these harsh times from a different perspective than usual with a female protagonist that whom I feel that a lot of readers can connect with. What I mean when I say readers can connect with Mattie is that she struggles living only with a mom that she argues with a lot. You also get to see a lot of her character development that you can only see in your teenage years. Which also what age group this book was targeting. An example is that she starts to notice boys as well. But, Mattie starts to learn with her problems and lives her life as a regular teenager. But,that was when the plague hit.

Everything went downhill from that point on. All around her are familiar faces that are starting to get sick, & some even die. And after an argument with her mom with her mom wanting her family to leave the area of where they lived so that they wouldn’t get sick, they finally decide to leave. This was a very emotional part of the story that I really enjoyed seeing. Everything about the book was well written. Mattie throughout the story makes new friends, meets old friends, & witnesses many deaths. She even manages to catch the yellow fever virus herself! Which was a surprising plot twist. Read the book to see how Mattie deals with all of her problems!

Overall I think this was a well researched and interesting story that grows on you and never manages to keep you bored. The story of this book has a lot of plot twists and emotional moments. So if you don’t enjoy that kind of stuff, than I wouldn’t recommend this book for you. But, if you do, you will really enjoy this book! I would give this book a 4.5/5 rating because there were some unpleasant parts in the story that sometimes also didn’t really make a lot of sense, well to me at least. But, other than that, I think that this is an amazing book to read if you’re hoping to learn and have fun at the same time. I recommend this book to ages 11-17. This was an amazing book and I hope you enjoy it too if you happen to read it!

This was the first book of the entire Dragon Ball franchise and that is why I decided to read it, because it was what started it off. It is about the lighthearted adventures of the main character Goku before the events of Dragon Ball Z. Besides, I love everything to do with the Dragon Ball franchise, especially the manga.

Scumble is about a boy called Ledger who is a part of a family that after the age of thirteen, develops super powers called a savvy. I feel like this book was very relatable to me because the main character was in the same age group as me. Not only that, but its also a very interesting and unique new take on superpower stories.

Although all the books in Riordan's Percy Jackson stories are good, the last one is my favorite because I love conclusions to great stories. And this one finished it all off in a bang. I really liked the storytelling in this book and the cliff hanger as well because it helped set up the next series of books and tied things up nicely for the series.

This is a story set in the 1700s during the Revolutionary War about a Tory boy named Tim transitioning from a boy to a man. This story really tugs at your heart strings because of the hardships that Tim has to endure with his brother leaving off to the war, his father dying, and his mother struggling with money. But, this book won an new berry for a reason though. It was really good!

This title is the second installment in the series made by the amazing author, Rick Riordan, in the universe of Percy Jackson. This was a really fun book that I really enjoyed its "wisecrack" humor, action sequences, mythological lore, and references of characters from the ever expanding, wider Percy Jackson universe. If you loved any of Riordan's past work, you'll definitely love this book very much as well!

Now, this was a book that I also read in the seventh grade as well, but I never got to entirely finish it and there were also a few questions I had left over from after reading this book. This was a quantum mechanics ad theoretical physics book that talked about the possibilities and theories about these small sub-atomic particles called strings, that vibrate and send out after affects into the cosmos that basically command our universe, these things are even smaller than quarks! I really enjoyed reading this book because some of the subjects spoken about were truly interesting. This is probably my favorite non-fiction book of all time too.
