Eventually studying Computer Sciences at Harvard University, she discovered her passion for technology and computer graphics in relation to Art. Feinberg joined the campus  'Graphics Group' where students could pursue independent technological studies. 

After viewing the first animation she had ever seen it had captured her imagination that she could still achieve her dreams: 
 
 “It completely captured my imagination: ‘All this math, science, and code I’ve been learning can create a whole different world inside the computer, and you can set a story there and build these characters? That’s insane.’ A month later, Toy Story came out, and as a class we all went to see it. I thought, ‘Man, I’ve got to do that someday. I’ll work really hard, and maybe by the time I’m 35, I’ll work at Pixar.’”

Danielle Feinberg is Director of Photography lighting at Pixar. She's worked on large scale films including Monsters Inc, A Bug's Life, The Incredible, Toy Story 2, Wall-E and Finding Nemo.
