I sit on the volunteer working group for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, they are trying to recruit around 100 volunteers from Bristol to support with this international competition next Sept. Ashton Gate will be hosting the quarter and semi-finals. I thought you may like to advertise this opportunity to your students, especially if you have a volunteer element to your programmes.

Hi All,

I am emailing to make you aware that annual parking permits are now available to purchase for the year. The cost is £120. If you are planning to live on campus or commute you are still required to purchase a permit to park your car in the car park. Another option if driving, is to purchase a daily pass.

I have attached the first 2 weeks of the timetable. Once you have registered, you will be assigned to a tutor group. This will give you an accurate picture of your timings.

Great to see you all this morning and MOST of you in the lecture theatre ready for a prompt start. Those who arrived late - please work on arriving in time for sessions - this is a key skill for thriving at university :)

2. Write a short paragraph about your identity and how it has developed and how you think it may further evolve over this year. 

3. Read Gee (2000) article on 'Identity' - this is not an easy read and in Thursday's seminar your APT will give you tips on how you can go about reading articles and getting from them enough for what you need for UG1.
