Background
July Days
On 16 July, spontaneous demonstrations of workers and soldiers began in Petrograd, demanding that power be turned over to the soviets. On 17 July, over 500,000 people participated in what was intended to be a peaceful demonstration in Petrograd, the so-called July Days. However, the Provisional Government ordered an armed attack against the demonstrators, killing hundreds. Bolsheviks were arrested, workers were disarmed, and revolutionary military units in Petrograd were disbanded or sent to the war front.
Kornilov affair
Kornilov representing the government, was defeated by the Bolsheviks by stopping Kornilov’s troops. Tsarina Alexandra who held the reins of government, did not perceive the dangers of public unrest but dismissed it as a 'hooligan movement'. She told Nicholas that if the weather was cold, everybody should just stay inside and that was her fatal judgement.  Mikhail, the duma president followed with a need to help out the government and form his own government group since Nicholas wanted to dismiss as he was annoyed by Mikhail Rodzianko's overreaction.

Members of the Bolshevik political party seized power in the capital of Russia, Petrograd. This conflict ultimately led to a Bolshevik victory in the Russian civil war that followed, and the establishment of the Soviet Union in 1922. In March, revolutionaries led by the Petrograd soviet, violently overthrew Czar Nicholas II, the monarch whose family had ruled Russia for more than three centuries. The czarist government was then replaced by a republic, mostly led by Russian nobles. The majority of Russians were peasants and industrial workers. They did not support the new noble-led government. The communist policies of the Bolshevik Party, led by charismatic lawyer Vladimir Lenin, appealed to these working class Russians.

    Negative sides of democracy: Democracy is criticized by not being efficient. Since all people have the right to vote to make decisions together, a proportion of the population may not be able to generate the factors and make the right decisions.
