Understanding Affirmative action laws and standards will help you when hiring people from diverse backgrounds so you don't mess up and cause any issues. Try and create products or apps targeted towards specific minorities and use those to figure out how to develop your product to be more inclusive to more people. Spend some time on the ground and talk with different people from all types of communities and understand what they want out of your products and implement that in your products. Basically make sure to have a diverse workspace and cater to a wide range of people so that in all types of ways you are increasing diversity and setting a standard for other tech companies in the future</p>]]></description>

They could try to find stellar applicants from other schools that maybe didn't go to the best college due to their economic background. Unfortunately most big firms will throw out applications from schools they are not familiar with instead of fully reading the application. Gates states that many skills companies look for in students can be acquired outside the classroom by competing in hackathons or building a GitHub profile. However, Minority students may not have the time to appear at such events. So is the problem really that companies aren't inclusive, or these minority students not doing enough to put themselves in opportunities to get seen by these main tech companies. </p>]]></description>
