My name is Luz Beril Cedano Ramos. I am from Higüey, but I’m currently living in Santo Domingo because of my studies. I am studying Modern Languages, majoring in French. I love this field because when I learn a new language, I also learn about the culture behind it, which I find very enriching.

I come from a small, close-knit family that has always supported my academic journey. I used to work as a trainer for a tour operator in the tourism industry, which helped me gain a lot of experience and confidence in English communication.

In my free time, I love reading and spending time with friends and family. These moments are very important to me, as they help me relax and stay connected with the people I care about.

For this class, I hope to keep improving my English, especially in academic and professional contexts. I also look forward to learning from my classmates and engaging in meaningful conversations.

After graduation, I would love to work in an international environment, perhaps as a language teacher, translator, or in tourism again—using my language skills to help connect people and cultures.

It is my pleasure to work with you this semester in the English Intermediate III class. My name is Raynel Peña Duran. I am 25 years old and I live in Los Girasoles Segundo with my parents. I study Modern Languages at UASD, and I currently work at a company called CCN. I do not have children.

My desire is to learn and share with all of you during this semester. I hope we have a nice semester, with a meaningful and fun learning environment.

I enjoy meeting new people, listening to their dreams and hopes. If I hadn't chosen to become a teacher, I would have probably become a school counselor. My wish or desire is to serve and give my all to enhance learning in language acquisition.

At the moment, I’m focusing on my studies at the university, so I don’t have a job right now. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. I don’t play sports because I’m not really into them.

For this class, I expect to improve my English skills, especially speaking and comprehension, so that I can communicate more fluently and confidently.

When I graduate, I want to have a good job where I can use my English every day, travel the world, and eventually live in Switzerland. One of my biggest dreams is to help my family financially and make them proud.

My name is Eugelkis I’m 25 years old, I live in Santo Domingo,I’m studying modern languages focus English, really I love the languages I’m thinking to learn italian and portuguese too. I have a son he’s 3 years old. I work at MAYOR’S OFFICE Of the national district, I’m secretary at one of department there. I love spend time with my son, my mom and my friends specially when we go out I like to create special moments with them. I don’t play any sports but I like so much Dominican league baseball.

I'm from Bayaguana, which belongs to the province of Monte Plata, I’m studying Modern Languages majoring in English.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, especially with my little sister and my mom. I love going to the beach, listening to music, or just staying home watching a movie or a Netflix series, those are some of my favorite hobbies. Honestly, I was never good at sports, but now I go to the gym every week.

I feel so blessed for my mother's side of the family especially my grandmother's side because we are kind, respectful, and helpful to one another. My family is truly a blessing in my life. In them, I’ve found a place where I can rest, trust, and always have a good time. I feel truly happy with them, and I thank God every day for the family I have. Even though we are a small family, it feels like a big one because of the love and support I receive from them.

Honestly, I work a lot. I have two completely different jobs.

During the day, I work for my mother and stepfather in our family business, which is a technology company. I work there as a salesperson, a cashier, and sometimes even as a manager when my stepfather isn’t around. I do a lot of things there.

On the other hand, at night, I run my own small business I have a cafeteria, where I sell food, especially fast food the best in my hometown!, and also drinks.

From this class, I expect to learn a lot and strengthen the knowledge I already have. I have high expectations for this class, and I know I will achieve them with the help of our amazing teacher, Walkiris.

When I graduate, I hope to become the best in the field of tourism but that’s just one part of my plan. I also want to become many things, like an entrepreneur, a real estate agent, or a flight attendant. I’m going to work hard to achieve all of that.

I truly believe we can do many different things in life. We don’t have to limit ourselves to just one identity as we grow up or become adults.

This semester, I hope to learn and retain a lot of new words and expressions so I can communicate more effectively in English.
