Scout initially thinks he's trying to frighten her, but eventually starts to notice the sound too. The two of them think it's just Cecil Jacobs trying to surprise them again, so they slow down. <mark>Jem notes that Scout's costume makes her visible in the dark.</mark> Then, Scout starts yelling into the darkness trying to provoke Cecil into coming out.</div>]]></description>
