As many people face adversity in the American economy, some may think it is impossible to succeed through financial freedom. However, with the ever-expanding use of technology and accessible information at one's fingertip, one may easily find many examples of people growing out of their hardships and becoming widely successful people. For example, figures such as Mr. Beast, who only started his social platform in his room watching Anime and performing extreme challenges, have now impacted the world through his online charitable and entertaining persona. Ke Huy Quan openly talks about having been a childhood to adult actor, struggling to make any other roles after the success of "The Goonies" and "Indiana Jones" for many years, and recently made his break and won an Oscar for Best-Supporting Actor--another example of someone who was able to succeed despite the seemingly never-ending hardship. Both figures have one thing in common: their inner confidence to succeed. Hermundur Sigmundsson and Håvard Hauge's I CAN Intervention to Increase Grit and Self-Efficacy: A Pilot Study article highlights their exciting findings in success through mental growth. "The intervention increased the score in three of four variables, i.e., Grit, Self-Efficacy, and Well-Being. This pilot study is very promising. That 35–40 min online intervention is able to "turn on the switch," meaning that the participants develop stronger beliefs or the feeling of I CAN." (Hermundur and Håvard Hauge). Essentially, the participants they studied had more confidence in themselves, in their grit, self-efficiency, and well-being, through the power of "I can" affirmations or practicing stronger beliefs within themselves. This finding helps prove that one can overcome obstacles and succeed by cultivating strength in one's mindset and belief in one's abilities.

As the economy reaches an all time high in recent years, Americans believe it to be impossible to persevere in a highly competitive country such as America. That the current state of the economy eliminates any possibility of fair competition, and that only the rich are able to persevere in these conditions. Their assumptions are reasonable; however, an article released by The White House Competition Counsel, reviews current issues and assures regulations are in place in order to restructure a healthy, and most importantly, fair economy. "By supporting agencies in considering the potential competitive effects of these rules, the new guidance helps to ensure that every investment made in the economy generates the maximum benefit for all Americans." (paragraph 14). Another testimony of perseverance in this economy is Shawty Bae, an overnight internet sensation. She got her start collaborating on TikTok lives with well-known Tiktokers and winning the hearts of millions with her iconic lines such as, "oh my gatos" and "bye, see you never" and her overall flamboyant persona. Shawty Bae came from nothing and now has her own apartment, her own business, and has brand deals with the "Pollo Loco" franchise.

When you talk about a person having "grit" and wanting to change the world and success naturally followed there is only one person that came to mind "Bob Marley". Bob is from a place called trench town. He came from the trenches of Jamaica. Success was not easy for him and through much adversity he changed the world through music. American economy is hard some may even say impossible to make it. Success comes with having tenacity a willingness to never give up and fight for a change for yourself or for your community. A pride for the product or goal that you believe in. In the end you can reach financial freedom in this world and impact it in a way that you intended too. For example Bob Marley fought for humanity and peace he did that the only way he knew how and that was with music and made change not only for his country but for the world and he continues to do that even today. Rastifari is now accepted in Jamaica and around the world a huge win considering now everyone around the world knows what it is.

when you discuss change and rising up its one person that comes to my mind and that is "Martin Luther king Jr" he was all about change and rising up. this was not easy path for him and he faced a lot of challenges but in the end he had a powerful impact on the world and changes did happen. American economy is hard in some ways it may even seem to be impossible to over come but if you put in the time and effort you will succeed and have financial freedom in this world and impact it the way you want too. in the words of the late grate Martin Luther king jr "Let's rise up tonight with greater readiness.let's stand with greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days"

"JAY-Z (born December 4, 1969, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.) American rapper and entrepreneur, one of the most influential figures in hip-hop in the 1990s and early 21st century.

Shawn Carter grew up in Brooklyn’s often dangerous Marcy Projects, where he was raised mainly by his mother. His firsthand experience with illicit drug dealing would inform his lyrics when he began rapping under the stage name Jazzy, soon shortened to Jay-Z (a name that may also have been derived from the proximity of the J and Z subway lines to the Marcy Projects). Jay-Z and two friends founded their own company, Roc-A-Fella Records, to release his debut album, Reasonable Doubt (1996), which eventually sold more than a million copies in the United States."

I believe that it is more than possible for "common people" against the current American economy in order to accomplish their goals. Malcom X, originally Malcom Little is a great example of this idea. Malcom grew up in Omaha Nebraska and was born into poverty. He later dropped out of school, began selling drugs, stealing, gambling, and shining shoes. He was imprisoned for 10 years due to his burglary crimes. He also ended up converting to Muslim faith while in prison. After Malcom served his sentence he became a voice for the Black Community and played a huge part in fighting for our rights. Even though he came from nothing and was imprisoned he continued to fight for what he believed in. Malcom X contributed so much to African American rights and the Civil rights movement.
