Sivas, known in various periods with names such as Sebaste, Sipas, Megalopolis, Kabira, Diaspolis, Talaurs, is one of the oldest and most important settlement centers in Anatolia. The first settlement in the region dates back to the Neolithic Age (8000-5500 BC). The foundations of the republic were laid here with the decisions taken at the Sivas Congress held in Sivas High School/Sultanisi on September 4, 1919. Throughout history, Sivas has been under the rule of the Hittites, Cimmerians, Scythians, Medes, Persians, Romans, Seljuks, Ilkhanate and Ottomans. The architectural style of the city bears many characteristics of the Seljuk period. The madrasahs, which are masterpieces with their stonework and decorations, have survived to this day and reflect the character of the city.

The school is named after the Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor.
Elementary school "Vladimir Nazor" Pisarovina is located in the municipal center of Pisarovina, about thirty kilometers south of Zagreb.
Not far from us is the source of the best quality mineral water in the world, Jamnica. The municipality of Pisarovina has a little more than 3,800 inhabitants.
The largest place is Donja Kupčina, located in the flat part of the municipality along the Kupa river. Donja Kupčina is known for the Native Museum, an integral part of the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb, which is a frequent target of student excursions. Donja Kupčina is also known for the large number of storks that live on the roofs of rural houses.
The hilly part of the Municipality is adorned by the towns of Lučelnica, Jamnica, Gradec Pokupski, Bratina, Lijevo Sredičko; these are places known for their healthy lifestyle and beautiful cottages along the Kupa River.
Apart from the main school in Pisarovina, Lučelnica Primary School, Bregana Pisarovinska Primary School, Lijevo Sredičko Primary School, Donja Kupčina Primary School and Bratina Primary School have operated in this area throughout history.
Today, classes are organized only in PŠ Donja Kupčina and PŠ Bratina, and together with them, the home school has about 250 students.
