Bees transfer pollen to the pistil.
5. Bees go to every flower to suck nectar.
6. There might be no bees left 2035 at the rate they are dying.
7. CCD leads to bees leaving their hives.
8. CCD can be caused by a virus that can cause paralysis.
9. CCD happens all over the world.
10. Pesticides can also be attributed to the decline of bees.
11. Mites have also took part in the killing of bees.
12. Mites suck the blood out of bees.
13. Some bees are resistant to mites through genetics.
14. Bees have fewer genes, so they have a harder time adapting.
15. Many people have to move their bees on a yearly basis to protect their bees.
16. The colony depends on the queen.
17. Northern bees store more honey because of winter.
21. Pesticides coat seeds and kill bees.
22. Bee keepers can lose 70% of their bees towards pesticides.
23. Germany gave the beekeepers who lost their bees 200 million euro.
24. Many people are fighting against pesticides to help bees.
25.

1. Bees have been around longer than man
2. The bee keepers open their hives to see how the bees survives the winter
3. The bee keepers were experiencing around 80-90% loss of bees
4. The bees are fundamental to human food
5. Bees mostly pollinate mostly every vegetable and fruit or any plant
6. Bees send pollen to the pistil
7. The rate that bees were dying, there might've been no bees by 2035
8. A total of 35 states were effected by CCD
9. CCD was happening all around the world
10. Around the 50s, they tried to get rid of every insect on the crops
11. They have to move their bees so they can have fresh flowers and get away from pesticides
12. There has been a mite getting into the hives and killing the bees
13. Some bees would take the infected bees and throw them out of the hive
14. Bees have a lot fewer genes than other bugs
15. There is a lot of bees immune to Varro because they have different genetic sequences
16. The queen bee is the mother of every bee in the hive
17. She gives off a smell that makes the bees work
18. Beekeepers like the bees that are gentle and not mean
19. Bees have been imported from all part from the world
20. Before men came along, bees were adapting to their environments by them selves
21. A machine made dust that carried pesticides and landed on flower that the bees pollinate and a lot of bees died
22. A guy lost around 70% of his bees do to this dust
23. Germany gave 200 Euros to beekeepers that lost a good amount of bees
24. A lot of people want the pesticides to stop to try and save the bees
25. Scientists found harmful chemicals in some sunflowers that killed some of the bees that would go to that flower

1) Over the last four years 30% to 80% of bees have died during the winter in bee farms
2) Without pollination our food can not be produced
3) Colorful flowers attract bees
4) Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) was found in 2006
5) CCD is when the bees simply leave the hive, and abandon everything
6) CCD has traveled around the world
7) Pesticides are have thought to have possibly caused CCD
8) In 1980 the Varroa mite came to the US
9) The mite will suck out the blood until the bee dies
10) Some bees are more resistant to Varroa mites than others because of genes
11) Hard to kill the mite without killing the bees
12) Not only do the Varroa mite suck the bees blood, but they also give them any disease they are caring to them
13) The way that bees try to get rid of mites is finding infected pupa, and throwing them out of the hive
14) Sometimes breeding stronger bees with weaker bees helps, but doesn't stop the problem
15) If the Queen starts to die then the bees will raise a new one
16) Queen breeding works by tricking the bees into thinking they need a new queen by taking the real queen away
17) Native Black bees are very resistant to cold winters and other natural problems, and we are hoping that in the next 50 yrs. they will be resistant to Varrroa
18) Some bee species will correspond with others on the same plant
19) Some bees only pollinate one type of plant or flower
20) 80% of the worlds almonds come from California, so we move bees from other states there just so the trees can be pollinated
21) Many pesticides and insecticides are used to save crops but they are also hurting them because they are not only getting rid of pests, but bees too
22) Goucho was a pesticide used that claimed to be safe for bees, pollen, and nectar, but it wasn't
23) Some doses of insecticides show obvious lethal effects, but in some smaller doses you can't see the effect until it is too later
24) Bees have trouble handling the pesticides, and when they come in contact often die
25) When some pesticides are mixed they are even more lethal than they are alone
