In my opinion, teenager can improve their social skills by spend more time with friends.I’m saying this because spending more time with friends can indeed help teenagers improve their social skills as they have more opportunities for communication, empathy, and understanding different perspectives. Additionally, it provides chances for practicing conflict resolution, cooperation, and other essential social interactions.

Candidate A

There are two statements opposing Candidate B's point by Candidate A. First of all, Candidate A disagrees with Candidate B's point because Candidate B said we have to have more doctors. Candidate A said several doctors in Malaysia are quite a lot.

For the second one, Candidate A came up with training nurses better. He said we need to have nurses who are sharp and alert to assist doctors. Apart from doctors, nurses play a crucial role with patients. He also came up with some of them who are not serious about their responsibility and jobs.

Question 2

Yes, He did discourse management because he gave relevant points according to the topic given. He also organises his point with the flow so that easily everybody can understand and catch up with his point

He never repeated his point again and again. He came up with new points after he strongly stated previous points

Question3

Yes, he came up with some linkers, such as besides that to continue another point. He also uses it because to link his sentences.

Question 4

Yes, he is having good eye contact with other candidates who show up his is confident to talk.

Question 5

From my perspective, I would like to say that having eye contact is important in group discussions. It helps you to boost your confidence to talk and give ideas to people you are brave to talk

Candidate D

He came up with an idea of the cleanliness of the country to curb the development of bacteria and diseases

Yes, he used the KQM method for his point. First He uses WH questions such as Who.What.Why.Where and How to develop his points. It helps him to expand his point better and more detail.

The point he made is that the cleanliness of the country sounds quite mature because it needs our country. He also tells us how to do it by ourselves.

Task 2

Candidate A impressed me more than the other candidates. He showed up and was confident to talk, and he came up with good and relevant points and developed them well

Yes, I want to. First all I want to talk confident like Candidate A, who is having good eye contact without fear. For instance, I want use KQM that been used by Candidate D to develop my point and makes people understand my point clear.I will make myself able to talk fluently like Candidate B and came up with some statistics and therocial with the topic is given. I think these methods help me to get good marks in my speaking exam.

TASK 1

CANDIDATE A：

1. a) "I disagree with the part that you say that we will need more doctors to improve the quality of healthcare in Malaysia because I believe that the number of doctors in Malaysia that’s quite a lot that is pursuing the doctor field." - Candidate A argues that the number of doctors in Malaysia is already sufficient.

b)"I think what’s more important is to train the nurse because most of them that from what we know is that they need to be trained to be more sharp and more alert to assist the doctor and some nurses because they are not the doctor and they are not the ones that are mainly in charge of the patient they might lose the sense of responsibility to make sure that the patient is treated properly." - Candidate A emphasizes the importance of training nurses to be more efficient and responsible as a priority over increasing the number of doctors.

2.Candidate A effectively used linkers to connect different parts of the speech. Phrases like "I partially agree with you," "I disagree with the part that," and "for example" helped in structuring the discourse and transitioning between different points. This shows an attempt to organize thoughts and provide a coherent argument.

3.Candidate A did use some linkers in his speech. Examples include:

a. "I partially agree with you candidate B."

b. "I disagree with the part that you say..."

c. "...but I think what's more important is to train the nurse..."

4.Yes, Candidate A has used eye contact to interact with other candidates.

5.Eye contact is crucial when speaking in a group, especially in interactive communication scenarios like the MUET Speaking test. This is because eye contact can build confidence, leading to more fluency and flow during the MUET speaking test. Eye contact also helps to establish a connection and engage other candidates, making them feel included in the discussion. This interaction not only improves mutual understanding but also fosters a collaborative environment, which is essential for success in the MUET speaking test where teamwork and clear communication are key.

CANDIDATE C :

1.half past six work

2.Yes,Candidate C expressed a strong idea based on her main point, which was about hospital infrastructure in Malaysia. She emphasized the need to improve healthcare by upgrading hospital buildings. She pointed out that many hospitals are old, run-down, and lack sufficient facilities to handle the large number of patients. She advocated for better facilities, more wards, and larger waiting areas to improve healthcare services.

TASK 2

1.Candidate A was the most impressive because he demonstrated critical thinking by partially agreeing with Candidate B and then providing a well-reasoned argument for why the focus should be on training nurses rather than increasing the number of doctors. This demonstrates an ability to analyze and prioritize issues effectively.

2. After watching this video, I plan to improve my part 2 speaking skills for the upcoming MUET exam by focusing on enhance my vocabulary and practicing the use of different sentence structures. I will also engage in speaking practice on a variety of topics and seek feedback from teachers or friends. This will help me identify areas for improvement, increase my confidence, and improve my fluency and coherence, especially in exam conditions.
