         <description><![CDATA[<div>All starts in 711 when a small group of Arabs and Berbers crossed the Strait of Gibraltar under the command of the governor of north Africa, <strong><em>Tariq lieutenant</em></strong>. They had intentions of plunder, loot, and continue in their advance since they defeated the Visigoths under the manage of <strong><em>king Rodrigo</em></strong>. The invasion was in the northern region of the Peninsula, which offered little resistance because many reassons: internal conflicts, Muslim military superiority among others. After that, the Muslims were defeated by the Austrians also they launched attacks on the south of France until they were defeated again by the Franks, after this the Muslims retreated south of the Pyrenees. They called the conquered land of the Iberian Peninsula al-Andalus</div>]]></description>

Then he defeated the<strong><em> emir of al-Andalus </em></strong>and proclaimed himself the independent emir (756). During this time, al-Andalus was suffering a big massive cloud of problems; the Chrisitians in the north took Zamora, FRanks conquered Barcelona and Girona, and created the Spanish March, and lastly the Muladis revolted&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>The Cordoba caliphate from 929 to 1031.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All started in 929, when <strong><em>Abd al-Rahman III </em></strong>broke away from dependence and proclaimed himself caliph. This initiated a period of great splendour in all al-Andalus. Aba al-Rahman took&nbsp; a lot of importan choises like: reorganize the army, ended the internal revolts and conducted expeditions against the peninsular Christian kingdoms (that were obligated to pay him taxes). And this period continued under his successor <strong><em>al-Hakam II</em></strong><em>.</em> He delegated government to Almanzor. And all ends continously when Hakam II died in 1002 and caliphate sank into very serious and big political crisis due to lack of authority, and, the caliphate officially finished in 1031</div>]]></description>
