Choosing what to do for this project was a hard one for me I couldn’t think of anything that I could put emotion into photographing I changed this project so many times because I wanted my project to be different I didn’t want to go the same route as everyone else with the family and nature aspects. So I decided to go with one particular family member that has the most meaning to me, my sister. Me and my sister are very close in age even though she was born a year and a half later we were always mistaken for twins when we were younger. There was one point when I was really younger that I almost lost my sister she was in coma for about a year when she was two due to a head injury and my mom had always blamed me when I was younger and she still does to this day but in reality it wasn't me that put her there. I always had a feeling of guilt growing up so I felt I always needed to protect her and that’s what I did. Growing up was always harder for me my mom always treated me like an outsider and my dad was in prison, my mom had other kids with her current husband and it left no room for me and my sister so we always just had each other, my sister has always been my rock for as long as I can remember she's my other half. So I finally came to the conclusion of doing my project on her.
