It is an excellent recourse for both educators and parents. </p><p><br/></p><p>"Pedagogical documentation helps to find meaning in what children do and what they experience. It is:</p><ul><li><p>a way to value children’s experiences and include their perspectives;</p></li><li><p>a way to make children’s learning and understanding of the world around them visible to the children themselves;</p></li><li><p>a process for educators to co-plan with children and with families;</p></li><li><p>a means of sharing perspectives with parents and colleagues." It includes pictures of the children, notes to explain what is happening in the pictures, as well as quotes from the children during this time. It displays the learning that occurred through this activity and how an educator may be able to scaffold this activity into further learning.  Documentation like this is useful to post in the room for parents to see, for educators to keep and look back on to further scaffold, or even for children to look at. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This documentation is displayed in a portfolio with pictures and, activities, and drawings that the child has done. Creating a portfolio for each child is helpful for educators to keep and continue filling through the year. This allows them to look back on the child's progress, where the child may need extra help, and how the child excelled the best. It is also great for parents to see and look back on as well. </p>]]></description>
