This piece of scripture is important to me as it reminds me that there really is a time for everything. Don't try and push things in life, or make things happen, because if they are supposed to happen, they will, all in good timing.

Many rituals or 'spiritual practises' that I partake in involve my family. Family dinners are very important in my family, whether it is a birthday, Christmas, or just an average day. Amongst all the hectic things that each individual in my family has going on, family dinner allows us to all come together, talk about our days, make plans, and just enjoy the love and company of each other. I recommend this, as it is very easy to take your family for granted. I won't live with my family next year, and it will be the average family night dinners that I will miss the most.

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.”

Although there are no words in this piece of music, it means a lot to me. Listening to it can instantly make me happy. When I hear it, I think directly of Lord of The Rings, and the journey that Frodo took. If Frodo can make it all the way to Mordor and back without giving up, than so can I.

This poem is important to me because it makes me feel like I can achieve what I really want, but only if I want it enough. It makes me strive to be better, and work harder, so I can get what I want.

This song my not have a word of English in it, but it is still very meaningful to me. The tune of the song, and the beautiful Italian words make be feel happy when I hear it. The song reminds me of my trip to Italy last year (we heard and sang this song everywhere), and how much I loved being there. It makes me want to work hard, so I can return to Italy.

Some have words on them, that I find meaningful and try to live my life by, and some are just symbols I like, or I just really like the image. To me this scripture means that I should try my hardest to be at peace with everyone, even people that I dislike. This means that I shouldn't fight with people, and try not to cause any troubles. I always try to resolve arguments and not start fights because of this.

This piece of scripture to me is like the saying 'treat others as you would like to be treated.' To me this means that I want others to treat me with respect and kindness, I have to treat them that way as well. Be nice to everyone, if you expect everyone to be nice to you.

Spiritual Gateways

There are five spiritual aspects in my life that help me to reach my true spirituality.

Contemplative: Helps me to reflect on life and learn through this. Achieved by listening to music and reading.

Creation: Time to appreciate life and nature. Achieved by acknowledging nature like sitting on the beach, or riding a quad bike through my farm.

Relational: Achieved by spending time with family, brothers, mother, and friends.

Activist: Making a difference in the community. Achieved by being involved with young Vinnies, Interact, Leo's club, and helping anywhere else that I can.

Intellectual: Always try to learn as much as you can. Achieved by pushing myself to my limits in school subjects. Spending time outside of school doing activities that benefit me intellectually like reading.

This picture of the infinity symbol made from sparklers is important to me, as the infinity symbol is my favourite symbol. To me, it represents my love of math, and the never ending cycle of life.

I love this photo because it is done very creatively (it is called light painting). I have done this with sparklers, with my brother, and this picture also reminds me of the fun that me and my brother had in the middle of the night, trying to work out how to get our camera on the right settings to do this successfully.
