This may not be the best way to go, but it does publicly highlight the wrong done and provides immediate consequence. I believe our country needs more of this. The part of their brain responsible for decision making and understanding the consequences of their actions is not only not developed yet but undergoing many developmental changes. I think these students should be put on some sort of probation to help them understand the consequences of their actions, but I don't think a teenager's life should be potentially ruined because of a mistake that they neurologically couldn't comprehend.
