Hello everyone. I am taking this class because it is a requirement. I am currently enrolled in the MALC program with post bacc certification. I hope to be done with my masters and education classes by next Fall. I am currently working as an Instructional Aid in the Special Education department at Great Valley High School. I really enjoy it and am learning a lot being in the classroom and getting hands on experience. Although I intend to teach Spanish, I feel that working as an Instructional Aid and a classroom aid is helping me acquire the tools, skills, and knowledge that I will later use to further enhance my own teaching style and technique. Furthermore, I find it extremely fulfilling working with kids in Special Ed; they are teaching me so much, and I hope that they are learning from me as well. I am from Ecuador, and my parents sacrificed a lot to be able to provide a better life for my sister and me. Education has always been very important to my parents, that is why I truly believe that teachers are the pillars in our society, and the reason why I chose this profession.
