         <description><![CDATA[<div>To set the experiment we first grabbed two petri dishes. We filled one petri dish with 15 seed that their parents were crossed with pure green and pure purple seeds. The other petri dish was the cross of the seed we did before. Under each seed we wet filter paper so the seed could get water. We then filled two petri dishes with water and laid a strip of filter paper from the water to the underside of the filter paper of the seeds. We cover the petri dish of the seeds and set this out under light </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As we learned the plants should have a 3 to 1 ratio based on Mendel. We also know the dominant trait shows more often. Based on our class data we learned that its pretty close. So in percentage it should be 75% and 25% . Our data shows that the purples showed 74% while the green steam showed 26% of the time. This goes with what we know before and proves it. Also we know this because the F1 seeds are heterzygous so the purple allele would show. Then the heterzygous genotype crossed would make the 3:1 ratio</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We learned that if you cross two traits that are the same and mono hybrid it should result in a 3 to 1 ratio. This is because homozygous traits were cross breed in  the parent 1 generation PPxgg to result in heterzygous Pg. The Pg was F1 so as stated the purple stem was dominant to show their trait over green because it was heterzygous. When we crossed the heterzygous traits in the F2 generation the heterzygous had a close three to one ratio. We can assume that 25% would be dominant homozygous PP while the other 25% would be recessive homozygous gg. The last 50% would be heterzygous Pg. We could ask what would happen if other traits were tested like pods. We can also see if other traits are linked and what would happen if more then two traits were tested. I felt that my group worked well together and we got the job done. It was one of the more straight forward one and I learned the most out of it. I tried my best as well and no problems came up. </div>]]></description>
