I noticed from the reading that daily life in Mesopotamia was like telling me what they do in their everyday lives like what girl wear. Girls wore loose-fitting dresses fastened at the shoulders, men in the upper and middle class have to shave their hair, and also Architects, scribes, merchants, farmers, cattlemen, and fishermen la-bored in the cities. They were paid in goods and food, not money. Slaves were either prisoners of war or families sold into slavery to pay off debts. The king appointed members of the aristocracy as high priests, counselors, and generals in the army. And also The men performed their official duties, boys went to school, women ran the household, and girls learned from their mothers.

There were·other important deities in Mesopotamia. Utu, the sun-god, lit the world with rays shooting from his shoulders. He moved across the sky in a chariot. As time went on, a shift in the course of the Euphrates River isolated Ur from river traffic and trade". This tells me that trade was so important to cities in Mesopotamia that without people regularly trading items, the cities would rapidly decline.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The text also states that there were "invaders from the southeast, called Elamites", who "conquered Ur". Based on this information, I can infer that cities in Mesopotamia did not have the best defense mechanisms, making them vulnerable to attack.
