The Call Of The Wild by Jack London

In the book The Call Of The Wild my biggest takeaway was when John Thornton stood up for Buck and threatened Hal that he will kill him if he didn't stop treating Buck bad. So then John Thornton graved a pocket knife and cut Buck free and after that Buck licked John Thornton's hand. This was the best takeaway part the book because no one has been good to Buck unlike John Thornton.

In the book The Call Of The Wild by Jack London is an example of good writing. One Example of good writing is the way London used the tone. London’s tone is thoughtful he often steps away from plot to comment on the way Buck is learning, how Buck’s character changes, or what the call of the wild surroundings begins to mean to Buck. These thoughtful passages are most striking at certain key events in the story, such as when Buck chases the rabbit in Chapter Three or, of course, at the end, when we see Buck in his new role in the wild. The author is also clearly sympathetic to Buck’s character, rendering him in a genuine and compassionate manner. This is an example of good writing.
