A boy named Henry and his sister, Natalie, move into a new house in the town Chuglass, saddened by their parents' death. A woman named Dawn helps them move into their new house and they continue on with their everyday lives, following the status quo. Additionally, Henry makes a new friend, Garrett, a former video game champion who owns a shop.

Henry gets in trouble at school because of his science project exploding a factory so Henry calls Garrett to lie and act like his dad and later ends up at Garrett's video game store, Henry later finds The Cube, which is extremely important and it opens a portal to the Minecraft world, which Garrett ,Henry,Natile, and Dawn enter, which leaves them stuck and then all four go on an adventure to escape as the cube broke and leaves them stranded, leaving them to find another cube.

Henry and his friends struggle in the dangerous Overworld after their cube breaks. They are about to be killed by zombies when a man named Steve who has Overworld experience saves them. Steve agrees to help mentor them and show them how to get another cube if they help him defeat Magalosha, who is the queen of the piglets located in the Nether, who want to take over the Over world which is made possible by having the cube.

The Gang approaches their final battle with the evil pig Malgosha who has the cube piece they need to escape the Overworld. They ready up by making iron golems as their army, using the skills they have obtained through their trials in the Overworld.

Trials

The group of now five go to a local village where Steve has all his belongings stored, and Steve teaches the group how to craft and what certain items do. But this is interrupted by Malgosha's army of Piglets crossing into the Overworld to attack Steve and steal the only remaining part of the cube as the group only broke one of two pieces and the Piglets have the other part that is needed for the Cube to work. Steve and the group escape via Elytra which is a pair of wings in the Minecraft world. Later the group experiences another trial by stealing the remaining part from the woodland mansion and experiences almost getting killed but they just barely escapes.

Treasure

The gang obtains the piece of the cube that they need to get back to the Overworld after they defeat Malgosha. This cube is the object or treasure they the gang was trying to obtain in their journey.

Return

The gang goes through the portal and returns home without Steve, who decides that he loves the Overworld too much to go back to the normal one.

Crisis

The Gang escapes the woodland mansion but experiences a crisis when they are caught leaving the mansion by the Piglet army and are trapped on a bridge, Garrett then sacrifices himself in order for the Gang to escape with the cube and to destroy some Piglets chasing them and the Gang leaves successfully

Resolution

Steve changes his mind and decides to go to the normal world and creates a band with the rest of the gang. The conflict is resolved and all the characters are now a family who have all found something that makes them happy.

The gang Defeates Malgosha with the help of Garrett returning after defying death, and then the Gang and an army of Iron golems defeat the Piglets and save the Overworld.

New Life

The gang is happy because they are home, but they miss Steve and wonder how he is doing in the Overworld. They are living their new life because Henry is confident, Dawn is looking after Denis the wolf, Natalie has opened her own self-defense dojo, and Garret is developing a new video game.
