You can use images, quotes, symbols, and colors to convey your understanding of the character's complexity and development throughout the story.

7.      Character Playlist: Create a playlist of songs that you feel represent the emotions, experiences, and struggles of one of the main characters from the novel. For each song, you should provide a brief explanation of why you chose it and how it relates to the character's journey throughout the story. In this way, you can explore the emotional depth of the characters and connect them to contemporary music.

9.      Acting out: Choose a scene, a speech or monologue that you would like to act out in the class. You need to memorize your words!

We chose Hester because she is the main character of our story and her feelings can be described by many songs.

Fade into you by Mazzy Star - We chose this song because it is nostalgic and she reminisces the past (her lover)

Salvatore by Lana Del Rey - This song is perfect for Hester because it sounds like a fairytale which has a bad ending in her story.

Art deco by Lana Del Rey - In the beginning of the story Hester is described as elegant and beautiful just like this song.

Pearls by Sade - Pearl is Hester’s daughter which is also the name of the song and at the same time it describes the difficult situations they are facing.

Like a tattoo by Sade - We believe that the lyrics of this song is how Hester would describe her lover.

Devil in Disguise by Elvis Presley - We chose this song because in the beginning Hester was specified just like an angel and in the end just like a devil.

Sunsetz by CAS - This song makes us believe that she still thinks about her lover.

Winter by Vivaldi - It describes her life turning into a living hell.

I will survive by Gloria Gaynor - Although everything she’s been through her daughter is her only hope to survive.

My all by Mariah Carey - In a specific part of the song there is a lyric saying “Id give my all to you” just like Hester did with her lover. Even though the difficult times she was facing and the consequences she still chose to protect him meaning her life turning into a nightmare for him.

Historia de un amor by Guadalupe Pineda - Again this song describes her passion about her lover.

The world we knew by Frank Sinatra - This song we believe it is about her life before turning upside down.
