He was was the chief of the army and chief judge of legal matters. He ruled 753BCE to 717BCE. He conquered nearby cities and land for Roman territory. Roman kings wore a ‘crown’ of laurel leaves around their heads instead of metal crowns. The Roman monarchy had a senate to advise the king but the king could of course ignore their advice.
