Over the years, I have had the opportunity to teach and facilitate courses that engage students not only in content mastery but also in developing critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. I view teaching as an interactive process that requires continuous reflection, adaptation, and innovation to meet the evolving needs of learners.

In my classes, I often emphasize student-centered strategies such as:

Active learning approaches: Encouraging discussions, case-based activities, and problem-solving tasks to deepen understanding.

Collaborative learning: Using small group activities and peer-to-peer feedback to enhance engagement and build learning communities.

Formative assessment practices: Integrating short quizzes, reflective journals, and classroom questioning to monitor learning progress.

These strategies help me ensure that learning is not only informative but also relevant and engaging, while fostering student ownership of knowledge.

Microlearning Activities Carried Out

I have also integrated microlearning activities in selected courses to enhance student engagement and provide bite-sized, focused learning opportunities:

Multiple Choice (MC) micro-assessments: Used in Business Mathematics quizzes to reinforce key concepts such as discounts, markups, and trade terms.

Forum: Used in Business Mathematics and Business Statistics discussions to connect the concepts with students’ daily life experiences.

Online Microlearning Links:

Social Emotional Learning

These microlearning components have proven effective in sustaining student attention, encouraging active participation, and supporting incremental knowledge retention.
