Ophelia’s slow corruption through interacting with other characters throughout the play emphasizes my belief that the hubris of humanity easily tarnishes all that is good when left unchecked.

Throughout Shakespeare’s play Hamlet, achieving revenge comes at the cost of personal relations and the idea of self. Specifically, after being exiled, Hamlet is blind to rational perspectives and hurts Ophelia, his closest relation, for avenging his father. This same idea is perpetuated through Avatar the Last Airbender’s Zuko, however, instead of giving into his rage, he takes the steps to realize his mistakes and redeem his honor. This theme stays forever relevant to highlight the importance of close relations and to dissuade the path of revenge.

In William Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, prince Hamlet’s single minded focus on achieving his goal, killing Claudius, is similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender’s prince Zuko’s single minded goal of catching the avatar because they both aim to please their fathers. Both stories demonstrate the pain of driving away those closest to them because they are attempting to stay vigilant against others as a result of their tunnel vision. However, Zuko is able to self-reflect and realize that pursuing the wishes of his father is not worth the pain he has caused while Hamlet dies believing the opposite.

William Shakespeare’s characters, Gertrude and Ophelia, don’t comply with the standards set by the Proverbs 31:10-31 woman due to limits Shakespeare puts on them and their actions. In failing to fit this model for womankind, the women in “Hamlet” meet their unfortunate fates. This is a conscious choice by the playwright to shame women for being undomesticated and disobedient. Antiquated rules for women remain culturally relevant as a result of reduction of women and their roles and “Hamlet” is a historical example of how that trickles into society.

In Shakespeare’s renowned play Hamlet, Shakespeare portrays his protagonist as a young man descending into the depths of madness from the obsession to kill his father’s murderer. From this, the self-inflicted madness continues to damage Hamlet’s mental states severely. As this madness is driven from the grief and anger towards his current circumstances, a parallel can be drawn between this obsessive madness to kill his father’s murderer and the manic obsession by teens to forgo their physical health to reach modern unrealistic body image standards to overcome their current physical circumstances. With this in mind, this thesis aims to investigate how unhealthy obsessions in different people can lead to the continued deterioration of mental well-being.

This weakens the kingdom entirely, leading to the takeover of Fortinbras . The anime Frieren: Journey’s Beyond, explores similar ideas, in a dissimilar world to Hamlet. It is a story focused on the events after the titular “Hero’s Journey,” and how the actions of those Heroes are embedded in the world they saved.

In Shakespeare's "Hamlet," the intricate interplay of betrayal, existential questioning, and the pursuit of justice serves as a profound mirror reflecting the complexities of the revengeful nature of human experiences through loss, and grief. This personally resonates with my belief in the fragility of trust and the weight of moral decisions, Hamlet's internal turmoil echoes my worldview of justified actions. The play's exploration of familial bonds, mental health, and the consequences of revenge illuminates the perpetual struggle to balance justice with the toll it takes on one's self, and their surroundings (or entourage).

In both Shakespeare's Hamlet and Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games, the main character ventures on a journey of justice which ultimately leads them grappling with complex ethical conflicts.

Those who are obsessive in their vigilante behavior end up straying away from their original goal, hurting innocent people in the process, and ultimately leading to their downfall. In the play Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Hamlet’s egotistical and single-minded focus on avenging the death of his father by killing his uncle leads to death of almost everyone around him, including himself. His fate directly parallels Light Yagami’s goal, in the show Death Note, of killing criminals to killing those who try to expose his identity. Both characters start off with their twisted sense of good, however, both proving that their obsession in a vigilante life leads to doing more bad than good and killing the innocent people they were meant to protect.

In William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet,' the intricate interplay of religious beliefs and moral decisions underscores the complexity of distinguishing right from wrong. Through Hamlet's internal struggle and the actions of other characters, the play reinforces my personal philosophy that religious doctrines guide ethical choices in a world rife with moral ambiguity.

In William Shakespeare's Hamlet, The loss of Prince Hamlet's father drives Hamlet into madness. His hunger for revenge ultimately leads to destruction and utter chaos. In similarity, the film saga: "Star Wars" character Anakin Skywalker, like Hamlet, is driven by power and obsession which also leads to complete chaos. The endings for both characters iterate the consequences of obsession and revenge, and how it not only destroys the individuals who seek it, but it also ruins the fate of those around them as well.

In Hamlet, Shakespeare demonstrates corruption with Claudius and other's deceptive scheming and political maneuvering. Shakespeare further demonstrates how this corruption ruins the royal court and leaves Denmark weakened and susceptible to Fortinbras' attack. Duplicity debilitating a country can also be seen in Saddam Hussein's corrupt and tyrannical ruling of Iraq, resulting in its economic ruin and Western takeover. The espionage and deep distrust that occurred in late 20th century Iraq is very similar to the paranoia in Denmark's royal court. Both these works demonstrate how evil or corrupt morals can have larger disastrously effects when they involve powerful people.

Might do East Germany, or 2008 Financial Crisis (Wall Street corruption) instead.

In Shakespeare’s play Hamlet, it can be seen that Hamlet portrays an obvious goal of killing the person behind his father's death regardless of who he hurts in the process. The same can be seen from Robert Oppenheimer as his perspective on creating the atomic bomb was to use it for peace despite its sheer destructive power, showing that one's ambition can twist their moral compass.

William Shakespeare's Hamlet and the historical Salem Witch Trials illuminate the insidious consequences of unchecked obsession. In both these worlds, a relentless pursuit of perceived injustices fuels a toxic spiral of suspicion, accusation, and ultimately, devastating injustice. Through the parallels between Hamlet's crusade against Claudius and the Salem community's hunt for witches, Shakespeare offers a timeless warning about the dangers of losing sight of ethical boundaries and human empathy in the grip of a pursuit bordering obsession.

William Shakespeare, in his iconic play Hamlet, emphasizes Hamlet's tunnel vision mentality when he turns to murder to get revenge for his fathers death. During his time of obsession to kill his incestuous uncle, he ignores the condition of the kingdom and his relationships throughout the play. Similarly, Phil Weston, the protagonists of the comedy, Kicking and Screaming, is blind to see that he is doing almost anything to beat his father's soccer team at the cost of his morals and relationship with his family. Both Hamlet and Phil Weston represent how society often loses sight of morals and relationships with others in light of current goals.

In Shakespeare play, Hamlet’s various expressions of grief and reactions to loss are multifaced, raging from intense sorrow and anger, comtemplation of suicide, madness, and pursuit of revenge. These emotional and psychological feelings go in depth as to how Hamlet feels towards some of the most tragic deaths in the play. When Shakespeare talks about feeling grief and remorse he refers to how we can’t move past our grief and loss because it consumes us and Hamlet gets consumed by the losses. As the reader, some of us have felt the grief, anger, pain exactly like Hamlet felt when he lost his dad, mom, and lover. I was able to relate to this when my grandpa and grandma both passed away. I felt anger, sadness, emptiness. Shakespeare explores into the complexities of personality and worldwide themes related to family and how it can affect the relationship between a loved one and their emotions.

Neha In the play Hamlet by Shakespeare, Shakespeare shows how in grief Hamlet seeks revenge to manage his plethora of emotions, by trying to kill Claudius, his evil uncle who stole his deceased father’s throne, which creates larger problems in his life as Claudius himself tries to eliminate Hamlet knowing Hamlet is trying to take his throne.
