The sense-making sessions are so important because they are an opportunity for students to discuss their findings using the vocabulary.          <title>The Foss Web suite offers many interactive activities that can be used as whole group, small group, or individual. It is great that they are all aligned to the standards and unit.  I have also used the interactive ebook in my classroom. This gives students an opportunity to practice reading. The ebooks also offer videos and other interactive pieces.</title>

         <title>In the past I have differentiated the science notebooks by providing sentence starters, checklists, or outlines for students to use to begin their writing.  Students can also work in partners. The website offers a variety of vocabulary cards that students can use to help them with their writing and discussion. There are different versions depending on the topic. Some versions include the vocabulary word online while others include vocabulary words with pictures to help students understand.</title>
