Multicultural children who were taught multiple languages have three advantages.
First, they can improve their cultural competence. Each language is influenced by cultures easily and it contains each cultural context. In this respect, it is difficult to explain the particular cultural context in other languages. To take a simple example, in Korean, there are various sentence-closing ending such as ‘했어요, 했습니다, 했소’. Korean users understand the difference of nuance among them and they can divide the use of them simply. However, English users interpret these as just ‘do’. Inversely, in English, there is a unique tense expression, which is the perfect tense. This tense expression doesn’t exist in Korean so Korean users can’t understand it completely. If multicultural children learn more than one langue at an early age, they can open their eyes to various cultures.
Second, multilingual children can overcome cultural stereotypes. When they learn other languages, they improve their new ways of understanding culture by analyzing cultural stereotypes. According to linguistic researchers belonging to Oxford college, this is because learning other languages involves the acquisition not only of linguistic forms but also ways of thinking and behaving. With this process, children can think critically about stereotypes of different cultures. When they are confronted with linguistic problems, they can show logical approaches rather than emotional biases such as cultural stereotypes too.
Finally, multilingual children can become genuine global citizens. Today, many people have native languages more than two. As these children grow into adults, they will encounter various people from various countries. They could be faced with unexpected conflicts while cooperation but they can solve them peacefully by understanding their cultural competence which was improved by learning multiple languages.

Korea has a very well-established medical insurance system. In contrast, the US medical system is neglected as a medical blind spot under the private medical insurance system. It seems that the aspect of U.S. medical care, which is suffering from competition for market share rather than quality of care, should be improved as soon as possible.

I thought that it was a creative idea that high school students can do by implementing efforts to accept immigrants' native language and culture by including language education in the official language and immigrant mother tongue.

It is praised for implementing the project to half-Korean and half-Chinese, or half-Korean and half-Vietnamese, aged 4 to 8, when they began to acquire the language. The age-to-face project that has already acquired the language may not be well applied, but the age group that is good for implementing language education is selected well.
It was impressive that Korean alphabet art activity was implemented to provide opportunities to become close to Hangul, talk about traditional foods, clothes, and languages of China and Vietnam, and prepare experiences for parents' countries. I think it is original to talk about parents' stories for children who are still unfamiliar with Korean culture to relieve their shyness.

A moment that I’ll never forget is the ‘multi-cultural night’ that I had when I lived in the United States. People think that the United States is a place where different races blend in with each other, but in my case, I was the only Korean in my school. I tried hard to teach them about my country, and the teachers also encouraged our classmates to be open-minded towards different countries. During the multi-cultural night, I made bulgogi with my parents to present it in front of them, seeing them enjoy it so much made me proud about my country.

Likewise, multi-cultural students need support to make their friends understand better about cultural differences. It’s also important to let the students know that it’s okay to be different and unique. Considering these factors, A.B.L.E. seems like a very helpful program.
