Zaki enrolled in Lasalle’s Audio Production Program. 

Zaki gained recognition from his work with Local Artist Dr. Boomy whom he helped co-wrote and produced his hit song Without You (2017), which had amassed over 30 thousand plays and counting on Spotify and YouTube. It was also featured on Spotify’s Discover Weekly. 

Zaki is currently working closely with local artist Maricelle and local Malay Singer Songwriter Haikal Ali on their next record.

An enthusiast in the music and audio field of work. He enrolled into LASALLE College of the Arts in 2015 to pursue his Diploma in Audio Production.
 
During his course of study at LASALLE he has been actively involved in projects, consisting of studio and live sound productions.

JR has been involved in live sound production works such as LASALLE’s inaugural Rock and Indie Festival(RIF) in 2017 which headlined popular local artists such as “Disco Hue” and “Wormrot”. He has also been involved in LASALLE’s theatre productions such as “Pursued by a Bear” and “Waterstation”. JR is currently interning as a live sound engineer at “Hood Bar and Café”. 

JR is in his final semester of studies and intends to pursue a Bachelor in Music Technology whilst freelancing as a sound engineer for Audio Visual companies.

It was only last year that I really decided that music is what I want to pursue in the future. I packed my guitar and went off to Europe for a few months, busking and attending every music event I could find. Since then I've learnt bass and how to sing and some basic theory. Now I gig 3 times a week and am transitioning into recording my own music.

I enjoy writing about my own problems and the problems of my friends/society. "Greener Grass" is quite evidently about emotional health. Its a message that you're not alone and not to give up. Things will get better if you keep trying."
