In this semester, I had met my academic advisor on middle October through video-conferencing platform which is WebEx. My academic advisor is Puan Nurul Izza binti Abd. Malek. We are having an interactive online meeting as everyone are willingly and actively to give respond to advisor. Puan Nurul is a good advisor and she listen constructively, attempting to hear all aspects of our expressed problems. At the beginning of the meeting, Puan Nurul began a conversation by introduced herself professionally, she also required all of us take turns to introduced ourselves and get to know each other. After that, Puan Nurul asking a question and encourage us to openly and honestly share about the challenges we are faced. 

When it was my turn, I answer honestly about my actual situation and the problems I faced. Being in the new environment, the biggest hurdle in the online class for me was time management. I found that I am unable to manage my time efficiently. Classes take place every day from Monday until Friday as there are quite much assignment and homework for each course. Not only that, my difficulties are weak in English. It means I need so long to understand and learning the material, even I spend much time on completing the task assign by lecturer compare to others. Based on my problems, Puan Nurul advise me about rethink my time management skills and give some useful tips, she also provide me a guideline on how to improve my English. Other than that, she advises that make sure we take regular breaks because it help us to focus when studying. Under her suggestion, I started to develop a schedule and create a to do list. I will identify what I need to do, then prioritize the tasks based on when the assignment is due and how much time I need to complete it. In addition, she advised me to record the lessons for repeated listening as it will improve my pronunciation and listening skills.

Last but not least, I truly learned and gain benefits from this online meeting. At first I was nervous about remote learning but now I realised that there was nothing to worry about. My academic advisor was very supportive and responsible for providing guidance to us. I am really grateful for her encouragement and help to determining solutions for my problems.
