Today we focussed on international school policies trying to sketch one. Rita explained how to go about them and where where to find help in the course booklet.
Some schools are pretty advanced with their policy others just started the entire process.
It is important to put down a special terminology for everything we already do and the booklet can help with that.
What was more important is that some of us are interested to do a common project in the future so this event inspired us to reach out to each others' schools and maybe start a partnership.
The exchange today ended with a wonderful creole chicken.

I have figured out that we have to review our international policy. The documents we use are good but out of date and especially not including the whole school.

I have also learned that no project should be run by a single person. To solve this, a lot of work needs to be done!

About today:
We focused on school politics and Rita gave us a lot of useful phrases. For me it’s very helpful because we are just getting started with Erasmus and we didn‘t focused like this before.
It is although very helpful to discuss with all the others how they have been started, which steps we have to take and how we could get along - and how the Germans say: there are many roads to Rome!

We have gone through various important documents today. We have worked on developing an international policy and which achievers we should prioritize at our school. We also need to include our international work in our work team and develop a long-term plan. Very interesting work that Christoffer talked about, climat-coffee, where you meet in a group to discuss feelings around the climate.

Today I'm writing for Claus, Anke and myself. I told the two that we worked on the international policy and that Rita gave us great tips on how to present our ideas, aims and objectives. As Anke has already done this together with another colleague of our school I can only say that they've done a great job for all the staff members. We can still use Rita's advice, and so we are well prepared.
I loved today's exchange again, and not only did I learn about the teaching conditions at other German schools, but I also learnt that Danish numbers are even funnier than French numbers ;) I learnt two words for the @: In Swedish it's [sobel a] - sorry for my trying to note the phonetics like this ;) thanks Daniel :)
In French the @ is "arobas", thanks Kati :)

Today's work was about international policies in our schools.
I studied a great deal of good material about the aims and objectives, which made it very clear about the international work and how its planning, desription and analysis should be carried out.
I also wrote some draft plan and points for my school's situation.
All the ideas we discussed and read from the course booklet were really of good use. Nice material to be learned and understood for international work.
It will help me much more with school paperwork and future planning of more projects and not only them.

I was reading about international policy from our booklet. It is great to have this information as a base when we start developing this topic further in our school. And this is also good base for future projects. We need a good team in our school to start working on this. We are very often concentrating at school on local things and current challenges. Via international work we could get new ideas how to solve our local issues. I am working in a school were students bankground is about 70% immigrant background. In that sense the international point of view is very important.

Today we created the international policy in small teams. The booklet was very helpful with some descriptions. I also learned that the goal is not necessarily important in projects. A project lives from the people who are committed and want to do it.
The exchange about the existing international projects was very exciting and stimulating. Hopefully we can link projects together and create new ones.

Rita focussed the lesson on the International Policy. This is a valuable document as it is the first step to writing an Erasmus+ Project. Working together about the school´s needs, aims and objectives made me get further ideas to develop.

It is important to point out that the teachers´ personal motivation for the topic will drive the project and all the school involvement is necessary (inside&outside)

So we can not choose topics for a project thinking on the student's preferences but the teachers'.
