The books are basically about 300 or so children trapped in a dome with a ten mile radius. Hunger and other problems break out, as well as the children and animals gaining superpowers, such as telekenisis, with an evil monster called The Gaiaphage on the loose.

A brilliant series with a great set of characters. A true thriller all the way through, hands down
