Using speech recognition software, our ASD students can complete written assignments by speaking into a microphone.

Implementation Steps:

Select a speech recognition software (our districts uses Google Read and Write) that matches the student's requirements.

Install and set up the software on the student's device.

Provide training on how to use the software, including voice commands and troubleshooting tips.

Encourage students to use the software for various writing tasks.

Evaluation: Review the student's written work for quality and completeness. Gather feedback from the student on the ease of use and effectiveness of the software. Track the student's writing output and improvements over time. Our team use the google forms to complete progress on goals for the student with progress monitoring.
