That she does not aprove because it pollutes but we need iron for manufacturing, machines, buildings, for transport, machine tools and even some sculptures need iron, fences, security systems, pipes. We also need water.
Sandra says that iron pollutes the ocean but we still need it in our lives. These uses helps everyone in the world to have machines, transportation, building and even art. It is an important thing in our lifes. Iron is combined with carbon to make a metal called steel. People have been using this metal for more than 5,000 years why stop it now?. Iron is obtained through minerals. Metal was discovered by accident when some ore was dropped into a fire and cooled brought iron. It is an essential element. Though iron pollutes the our ocean/water, we are working in changing this and helping our waters not to be polluted.

Ted thinks that a uranium mine in his town, Elementon, could be beneficial for all residents. It would create high numbers of employment and can be very beneficial for the economy of the town. For example, our town could be fully dependent on uranium, and have nuclear power as our main source of energy, I know it won’t be the cleanest solution, however it will definitely be cheaper for us. It would surely increase our economy and make us get upgrades in the public buildings. A uranium mine would doubtless be beneficial for our community.

However he also thinks that a uranium mine in Elementon could put us all at health risk and I am therefore against the idea of building a mine in our city. For example, it has been tested that uranium is radioactive and can cause lung cancer and other diseases. It is also been tested that it emits Radon gas and can be more dangerous than underground mining. Radon gas has been shown to cause cancer. There can also be deaths among workers because of the high number of radioactive gas and contaminated gunpowder. These reasons sum up, uranium could definitely destroy Elementon itself.

Panning may be an old method to mine gold but per nugget we can make a lot of money and is the safest method for our workers.

First of all, probably the most important thing for a town, for a person’s lifestyle is health and safety. Well, there is no need to be concerned because this is a safe and healthy method so far in all tests and experiments. For example, most of you know that uranium is a radioactive substance. A radioactive substance is atoms that decay naturally. When scientists researched this metal´s health effects, they detected absolutely no harmful radiation effects on natural levels which is good.

No way I want to shut down the company because this is how I get my money but firstly we should find. Alternatives. Although silver is normally one of the only metals you can use for cables and tv I am sure with now-a-days technology we can find a compound chemical as good as if not better that silver to transfer energy and reflect images.
if you can't get people to work on it you cant get money.

We could use gold to support other industries such as electronics, cars, energy, stautes, medals, even dental supplies ehancing the living of our residents. The method we plan to use to get gold from elementon is panning which is eco friendly, panning is like sifting river water to eventually end up with gold nuggets, it has been used for centuries and is the safest way for workers to mine gold as it doesn’t use toxic chemicals, wont work in dangerous area like caves. Since panning doesn’t use chemicals, drill the grounds, release waste, I am fine with setting a gold factory because it is eco-friendly and wont harm Elementon.

I say that this opportunity only happens once in a lifetime and it’ll give us plenty of money to be able to purchase anything or plan any big event or project. It’ll make us very popular amongst other towns and we will be recognized as the town with the silver factory. It would solve all the unemployment therefore more people will move in and we will have the money to make build more houses and expand the town. Our town would be the center of attention and many tourists would come visit. It would be a dream come true! I can’t wait to hear the news; did they decide to accept or decline the offer? I would obviously accept it.

I know that the environment is very special and that is why I don’t want the silver industry to locate in our town. This industry would destroy the peace and nature that our town has always proudly had and I am not willing to let that happen to us. Although we could really use some money I am going to have to decline this offer.

Take Chernobyl as an example: the accident occurred when the fourth reactor had a massive power increase. This led to the core of the reactor to explode, leading to massive radioactive materials and fuels being released and dispersed. Uranium can also cause cancer do to it creating a gas named radon.

I don’t think it would disturb so much since the factory wouldn’t be so close to our town. And if it is too close to our town and it makes a lot of noise, I don’t mind because we would get a lot of profits. It would also help us a lot so more people would be employed. This could be a huge step in becoming a rich and successful town. We really need this factory, you see, our town has been struggling a lot in maintaining business and earning money, this would be an amazing opportunity and I hope that it gets accepted.

For

Neodymium, despite its quite complicated process of extraction or its limitation of creations, this metal doesn't pollute as much as most metals due to the fact that most metals get burned to create energy or get burned to extract the element from it. Since they are burned, the pollute immensely and cannot provide a clean space to live for very long and it wouldn´t be very healthy for the workers either. Neodymium´s process does not include any unnecessary gasses, only an exchange of solute and an extraction of its solvent.
