Saxophones, piano, trumpets, bass, and one singer. Can hear the influence of blues in this song, not super sad but not up beat, the lyrics compared to the lower instrument sound make it more positive. Can hear distinct rhythm in this song too.

"Five Guys Named Moe" - Louis Jordan (jump blues)

Medium-fast paced singing, piano, bass, drums, and trumpet. Can hear the blues trumpet and musical influence here, but with pop tone and singing. The song is upbeat and the singing sounds more upbeat too, the piano sets a rhythm and the trumpet helps bring the pop to life in the song, as well as the lyrics which sound ramble-like or at least quick.

"Mama He Treats Your Daughter Mean" - Ruth Brown (Atlantic Records)

The distinctly pretty and loud, excentric voice of Ruth is followed by blues instruments such as saxophones, trumpets, drums, and a piano. The song's lyrics aren't necessarily positive, but the pace, tone, and singing are upbeat and fast. Distinct pattern/rhythm repeats in the song with the song title being a repeated lyric/chorus.

"Hit The Road Jack" - Ray Charles (RnB/pop/country mix)

Five singers in total including the female group with the lead singer on piano with a band of instruments like trumpets and some tambourines. The female singers and piano have a heavy blues (RnB) influence with the fast pace and pop rhythm. Harder to hear the country influence at least in this song, but is lower in tone but not necessarily a sad feeling because of the sound of the singing and the video expressing the singers emotions not being sad.

"You Send Me" - Sam Cooke (Atlantic Records/gospel/pop)

The gospel background and tone is dominant in this song, as well as the time period of the do-wop pop sound, accompanied by some blues sounding instruments like a piano, trumpet, drums, etc and lyrics/tone being sad/blues inspired but not necessarily negative. Song is slow and has a distinct pattern/rhythm and chorus. There are also some background harmony singers humming and occasionally singing in a low tone and the lead singer singing the main song lyrics.

More upbeat than the last song, has the 40s/50s beach/surf sound that sort of reflects on the country guitar sound. Distinct rhythm, pattern, and chorus. Lead singer, guitar, violin, drums, and some harmony singers humming and occasionally singing lyrics along with Sam. Has a bit of blues in the sound and lyrics but has the pop/dance feel.

Can hear the sophistication of production and instrument usage in this song and genre of RnB. Three lead singers, drums, guitars, saxophone, etc. There is a lot of pop influence and more instrument sound in this song/genre.

Distinct rhythm and has a chorus with quiet but varied instruments and one singer. Likely has some other singers but only one singer is singing here, piano, drums, a snap/beat as the rhythm holder, violin, etc. Has the blues sound in the lyrics and somewhat in the instruments but more pop in the instruments.
