"Institutional Revolutionary Party"
It is a Mexican political party that held power in the country for 71 years, first as the National Revolutionary Party, then as the Party of the Mexican Revolution.

It was formed by president Plutarco Elías Calles and his followers in a period of conflict with the Roman Catholic church, rebellion in the military, and disputes with the United States. The PRI had establishments that shifted power from Political-Military Chieftains to state party units. They campaigned for greater democracy and some wanted to alter the candidate selection process to remove power from the higher elites. The party kind of died out when non-PRI candidates won almost all elections.

43 college students went missing due to a police attack. These students were trying to raise money to support them in remembering a student that had been killed in another police attack n 2011. The night after they were raising money, the police attacked them. Many students were able to hide but, had to stay in hiding for days. A lot of doubt is being cast on the story that the government gave to the parents.
