Many Science monitors don't bring down the recyclables to the canteen on friday as they do not have an incentive to bring it down. As a result, there is no space in the class recycling box. Many students throw away their recyclables in the trash can as there is no space in the recycling box.

Recycling problem in school.

1) Place more recycling bins near the canteen area, so students can throw the recyclables items into recycling bin.

2) Reuse the plastic bottle of beverage after finished drink, we may refill the plastic bottle with water dispensers and reduce single-use plastic.

The most common problem is children throwing recycling things in the bin. Like paper, which is still usable as there is another side to draw or write on, they still throw it away. And they do not even throw the recycling items in the recycling bin and just throw in the bin. People also waste large amount of food as they buy too much. I think lower primary students learnt it from the upper primary. I think we should try not to do such things and be a role model to others.

i have seen students wasting lots of food, like only taking one bite out of one nugget out of THREE NUGGETS and not eating the rice which wastes a lot of food. i also saw a plate in the dustbin

1)There is alot of wasted food and paper in trash bins and some people puts plates in trash bins while plates are not supposed to be in there. 2)Some science monitors forget to bring down the recycling box and some students keep on not bringing recycling items on Recycling Friday. 3)Some students do not use both sides of papers. Instead, they just use one side and throw it away.

I often see trash and plastic bottles on the floor, students not using both sides of a sheet of paper, there is also food in the dustbin which is wasting food, once I saw a rat that is attracted to the trash that students threw (Not all students). Students do not wash the plastic bottle before throwing it in the recycling bin. Some students rely on the cleaners to clean the plastic bottles and plastic.
