  • In 2009, he joined the providence in Brown University 
  • In the 1990s - he was in a car accident in Nigeria that left him paralyzed from the waist down and would confine him to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. 
  • He died on March 21, 2013, at the age of 82, in Boston, Massachusetts.
