From the Kingdom of Kush (c. 800 BC – 350 AD) to the Islamic kingdoms of Sennar and Darfur (c. 1500–1821). Even last year, on April 12, 2019, history was made.
After months of mass demonstrations, the dictatorship of Omar al-Bashir was crushed. He built this government through a military coup (Militärputsch) and thus destroyed the pre-existing democracy. The road to establishing a democracy is being taken, but it is difficult because there are assassinations.
