Session 2: Breakout Boxes

Can't wait to go to the PD workshop to get the boxes. This will increase student engagement and I love that you can link it for specfic academic connections or themes.

Session 3: See Saw

This is going to make my life a lot easier! Love the parent connection. Can see how kids would be highly engaged and it would increase accountability.

We've dabbled with a few Escape the Classroom activities in grade 5 this year. Breakout Boxes will take this to the next level. I can't wait for the pd day to learn more and receive a breakout box!

Session 2: Google Apps, Add-Ons and Extensions
Wow, out with the bookmarks and in with the extensions. I think using Extensions will allow me to stay more organized and bring even more technology into my classroom. One extension I liked was the 1-click timer. I can use it with individual students or the whole class to help them manage their time effectively. I don't need an expensive working clock with this extension. I can wait to explore and add more!

Session 3: Seesaw
Finally, an app to connect home/school that is simple to use for teachers, students and parents too. I've created a class page. I plan on launching tomorrow.

I also loved the break out boxes. I would like to take that idea as a way to encourage hand strength and dexterity, as well as persistence.
